After a two-year stint in MotoGP, James Toseland made his return to the World Superbike scene. A paddock where he knows the triumph and downfalls with 2 championships, 16 wins, 57 podiums and several injuries. I had the pleasure to interview Toseland as he prepares for the new season with BMW.
James Toseland is stronger than ever and is ready to start this season’s challenge with the new BMW Motorrad Italia Superbike Team. After winning the World Superbike title back in 2004 and 2007, the Brit went on to race for the Tech3 team in MotoGP. The level of the field was high, but Toseland scored multiple top 6 positions and made a name for himself as a though rider to beat.
In 2010 Toseland returned to the World Superbikes as part of the Sterilgarda Yamaha World Superbike team. The comeback was highly anticipated. However, apart from a couple of podiums in the first half of the season, it was a though season for the Briton.
