After seeing Whitesnake in 2015 and falling in love with their show, I couldn’t wait to buy tickets for the 2016 tour. To get in the mood for the Greatest Hits Tour, I decided to make some fan art to celebrate the new tour.
WHITESNAKE – GREATEST HITS
I grew up listening to my parent’s 70s/80s music collection and radio preference. The songs Here I Go Again and Is This Love were often heard, and I always enjoyed these. However, it took till 2015 to really discover Whitesnake by being their Purple Album. From there I fell into an endless rabbit hole of discovering all the music
In 2015, I eagerly purchased a ticket to witness the epic co-headline tour featuring two legendary rock bands, Whitesnake and Def Leppard. The prospect of experiencing both of these iconic bands in a single event filled me with excitement and anticipation. Once the tour dates for the Greatest Hits Tour in 2016 were announced, I knew that I couldn’t miss the chance to see them again. The allure of hearing their greatest hits live on stage was simply irresistible.
ARTWORK
The art work is highlighting David Coverdale’s iconic “Make Some Fucking Noise”. Around it, I added the band members. The background had the Union Jack and snake skin print to complete the look.
I brought the design with me to the show and during Here I Go Again Dutch guitarist Adrian van den Berg spotted my design and gave a nod of approval. He joined the band as a guest for two songs, which was awesome. A day later I posted the design on Twitter, where also David Coverdale shared his seal of approval! So awesome!
